Donald F. Copeland
Donald F. Copeland, Jr. (“Don”) joined Baratta, Russell and Baratta as an associate in February of 2008. Don brings his extensive experience in estate and tax planning to further assist our clients with these needs. Don advises individuals, families and businesses on how to preserve their hard earned assets and to plan for their economic future. Don provides well considered consultation to our clients regarding the formation of corporations and limited liability companies as well as the purchase and sale of businesses.
Don grew up in Villanova, Pennsylvania and attended the Haverford School (Class of 1986). After graduating from Franklin and Marshall College, he attended Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and received his law degree in 1997. Thereafter, he earned his Masters of Laws in Taxation from Villanova Law School in 2002.
Prior to joining Baratta, Russell and Baratta, Don practiced law with his father at the law firm Copeland and Copeland, LLP, located in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He focused his efforts in providing estate planning guidance, administration of estates, as well handling numerous types of matters before the Orphans’ Court of the five county region such as Guardianships and Incapacity hearings. Don brings his invaluable experience to Baratta, Russell and Baratta as the result of his father’s recent retirement from the practice of law.
