Anthony J. Baratta
Anthony J. Baratta (“Tony”) is a founding member of Baratta, Russell and Baratta. Tony grew up in the Frankford section of Northeast Philadelphia, and attended all of his schooling on Broad Street (St. Joseph’s Preparatory High School, LaSalle University and Temple Law School). After law school, he was a law clerk to the Honorable James. T. McDermott of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and thereafter worked for 5 years in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted rape and child abuse cases. Tony stays heavily involved with his Philly roots by performing pro bono work for the Support Center for Child Advocates (representing abused or neglected children in Philadelphia Courts), the Philadelphia VIP Works (representing indigent Philadelphians in various civil matters) and acting as a Mentor to minority students in Philadelphia law schools.
Tony is an accomplished trial lawyer. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate (a Pa Supreme Court approved agency) and a Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He focuses his trial skills in representing individuals seriously injured or killed due to the negligence of others whether it is caused by medical error, highway design defects, motor vehicle accidents, product liability or by the defective condition of property. He also handles complex commercial litigation matters. He has been named as a SuperLawyer n 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010 (an honor bestowed on the top 5% of Pennsylvania lawyers).Tony lives with his wife and three sons in Richboro, Pennsylvania. He is a Board Member (Secretary) of the Northampton Council Rock Baseball Association and coaches little league baseball and basketball.
